All DSO Cooled Cameras need to be connected to an external 11-14v power supply to image.

ATR432M features a resolution of 1600x1100 pixels, 9 μm pixels and a 1.1-inch optical format. It offers support for high frame rate mode(109FPS at all Pixel Readout 12 bit),and has a readout noise level as low as 2.4e. Additionally ,the camera have an excellent TEC cooling system maintains precise temperature control within a deviation of 0.1℃, while the dew prevention heater (window heating) further enhances performance.

ATR432M

Please remember: all ToupTek Astro DSO cooled cameras can only be powered by 12V3A DC power supply. We recommend using the power adapter that comes with the camera or a lithium-ion battery with stable output of 11-14V. Please do not use power supplies that have falsely stated specifications or unstable outputs to power the camera, as this may affect image capture or even damage the camera.

ATR432M

Two stage TEC cooling system

ATR432M is designed with an integrated heat dissipation structure and an efficient cooling module. The cooling system of ATR432M features a two-stage Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) with controllable electric fan assisting in heat dissipation. This allows the image sensor to operate at temperatures up to 42 degrees Celsius lower than the ambient temperature. The exposure time can be set for up to 1 hour, ensuring that every minute detail is captured. Even in summer, it can still run stably all night with cooling temperatures ranging from of -5°C to -10°C.

ATR432M

Anti-dew technology

ATR432M adopts the new anti-dew technology , which can effectively solve the condensation problem through heating.

This heating function consumes about 5 watts, which can be turned off via software to save power.

Additionally, The dew heater at the protection window has 4 adjustable levels, allowing users to find the heating power that best suits their needs.

Not an ideal deep sky camera

The camera shows heavy, yet smooth amp glow alongside one X and the adjacent Y side of the sensor. See attached 180s dark frame. It´s not like 183 oder 294 based cameras, which is more restricted to a certain spot like area. The edges drown in amp glow which is really hard to calibrate and post-process as the SNR is significantly low. This eventually leads to heavy cropping limiting the already small FOV even more.
It leaves me with the impression, the ATR432M is more a planetary or solar camera best driven in video mode.

To be fair, the ToupTek guys made me aware of the amp glow but I wanted to see it and experience it myself.

My recommendation to ToupTek would be to list the camera as a planetary camera. It´s definetely not a Deep Sky camera.

My sample of the camera also suffered from a frozen sensor glass when cooling the camera to -10 celsius. Drying the dessicant and cooling over a period of 30 minutes helps.

The customer support is excellent! Big kudos to the ToupTek guys always supporting wherever they can.
